Tunebite is a media converter specifically designed to remove DRM (Digital Rights Management) protection from songs, audiobooks, videos, and movies. It offers support for over 100 audio and video formats. It also includes an audio-stream and webvideo recorder.[1] Songs can be converted through a simple drag and drop interface. Songs are then played and recorded to the output format specified. Because Tunebite uses the computer's soundcard, if the song cannot be played, the song cannot be converted. As an alternative to drag and drop, songs can be burned to a virtual CD drive, which are caught by Tunebite and converted to the output format specified. Tunebite legally copies DRM protected media by taking "advantage of the analog loophole"[2]. By re-recording DRM protected media Tunebite does not modify the original DRM media; thereby, Tunebite allows an authorized owner of DRM media to play the media (played via Tunebite itself or any installed media player) while Tunebite records to any of 100 different formats. The advantages are manifold as legally purchased DRM protected media can actually be played on any mp3 player, iPod or media player.

"Tunebite legally re-records protected music tracks while they are playing and saves them as personal-use copies in your desired format."[3]
"Using innovative Tunebite technology, AudialsOne legally removes DRM copy protection from music, audio books and videos at the highest quality levels."[4]
"Tunebite is a DRM copy-protection removal program that uses a 'legal method' of removing DRM by using, the 'analog loophole'. Rather than illegally stripping out the DRM encryption from a file directly, Tunebite records the output of each file to produce a version that is free from any restrictions."[5]
